Terms of Service

Effective: October 23, 2026 · Last updated: October 29, 2026

These terms govern your use of southlandlabs.dev, its public tools, and the webhook relay at webhook.southlandlabs.dev. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or tools.

About the service and eligibility

Southland Labs is a privately run, Texas-based recreational homelab project, not an emergency, telecommunications, financial, legal, medical, or guaranteed hosting service. You must be at least 13 and old enough to use each connected service under the rules that apply where you live. If you use the site for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for it.

Acceptable use

You may not use the site or tools to break the law; infringe another person’s rights; distribute malware; harass, threaten, exploit, or deceive others; send spam or unauthorized automated messages; expose personal or confidential information without permission; bypass security or rate limits; interfere with the service; probe for vulnerabilities without written authorization; or access an account, webhook, server, or data you do not own or have permission to use.

You are responsible for the content you submit and for confirming that you have permission to use any webhook credential, files, images, and other material. Discord webhook activity must also comply with Discord’s terms, developer policies, and community rules. We may restrict or block use reasonably believed to be abusive, unsafe, or unlawful.

Credentials, drafts, and shared links

Treat webhook tokens, webhook URLs, administrator credentials, authenticator seeds, exports, and share links as secrets when they contain nonpublic information. Generated webhook proxy URLs include the Discord token in the URL path. Keep these URLs in server-only configuration or a suitable server-only secret store; do not place them in client-visible LocalScripts, public repositories, browser history, or logs. You are responsible for protecting access to your browser and accounts and for promptly reporting suspected compromise. The Webhook Builder and Proxy act only on the destination and content you provide; review the destination and message before sending. A network failure can make delivery status uncertain, so check Discord before retrying.

Third-party services

The site and webhook relay link to or interact with services operated by others, including Cloudflare, Discord, cdnjs, api.mcstatus.io, and other linked services. Their terms and privacy practices apply to their services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party availability, content, security, or decisions.

Accessibility

We aim to make the public website usable with current browsers, keyboard navigation, and common assistive technologies, using WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a guide. If a barrier prevents you from using a feature or reading these terms or the Privacy Policy, report it through the official Southland Labs Discord and describe the page and assistance you need.

Ownership and feedback

The site design, branding, and original code and content are owned by their respective rights holders. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. You retain rights in content you provide and grant us a limited permission to process it only as needed to provide, secure, and maintain the requested feature. If you voluntarily send feedback, we may use it without an obligation to compensate you.

Availability and disclaimers

The site and tools are provided “as is” and “as available.” Features may change, be suspended, lose data, or stop without notice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right that law does not allow us to exclude.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Southland Labs and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, or service availability arising from use of the site. Our total liability for a claim relating to the public site or tools will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for that feature during the previous 12 months or US $100. These limits do not apply where applicable law prohibits them.

Changes, termination, and governing law

We may update these terms by posting a revised version and date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. You may stop using the service at any time; we may suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, or enforcement of these terms. Provisions that logically should survive termination will survive.

Texas law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where your local law requires otherwise. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction in Texas, unless applicable law gives you another right.

Contact

Questions, legal notices, and abuse reports can be sent through the official Southland Labs Discord. Do not post passwords, webhook URLs, authenticator seeds, or sensitive personal information in a public channel. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
